Perhaps a true story will best illustrate the kind of service that marks the Hamburg Lions Club.
Hamburg Lions are regular people, just like you. They are men and women who have decided to make things better by getting involved in their community.
The Hamburg Lions held their first meeting in December 1970. In the months that followed that first meeting, the Hamburg Lions Club grew to nearly 40 members. Since our inception, over 30 years ago, nearly 150 people have served as Hamburg Lions, working diligently to improve our communitiy's health and welfare.

In order to promote increased support for research into a cure for Juvenile Diabetes, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDF) and the Lions Clubs in PA District 14-P established a 'traveling' trophy that was to be housed by the Lions Club raising the most money for JDF in a given year. Today, that traveling trophy resides with the Hamburg Lions Club because we have consistently raised more money for JDF than any other clubs in our region.
